Cathay Pacific was born in 1946 when Roy Farrell and Sydney de Kantzow two ex Air Force pilots known for flying “The Hump” over the Himalayas had the idea to fly much needed goods from Australia into post-war China. From here comes the Cathay Pacific the flag carrier of Hong Kong with its head office and main hub at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline and its subsidiaries offer passenger and cargo services to more than 190 destinations in more than 60 Countries.

Cathay Pacific Services Limited is the wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways is a 20- year franchise by Airport Authority Hong Kong to design, build and operate a cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport. Along with this the other subsidiaries includes Cathay Pacific Catering Services, Cathay Pacific Holidays, Cathay Pacific Line Maintenance Services, Hong Kong Airport Service Limited, Hong Kong Airlines Limited, Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited, Vogue Laundry Service Limited and AHK Air Hong Kong Limited.

Codeshare Agreement

Cathay Pacific & Cathay Dragon currently has codeshare agreements with a number of other international airlines which includes Air Astana, Air Canada, Air China, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Bahrain Airlines, British Airways, Bangkok Airways, Brussels Airlines, Cathy Dragon, Comair, Cotai, Chu Kong Passenger Transport Co Ltd, Fiji Airways, Finnair, Flybe, Iberia etc.
